Angela Brigid Lansbury, CBE (born 16 October 1925 in Poplar, London) is an English actress and singer whose career has spanned seven decades. Her first film appearance was in 1944's Gaslight for which she received an Academy Award nomination. Among her other films are The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) and Beauty and the Beast (1991).
She expanded her repertoire to Broadway and television in the 1950s and was particularly successful in Broadway productions of 'Mame'

O Magnum Mysterium
This is one of my most recent works, and surely one of my best. This piece went from being a small project to pass the time, to a virtual choir experience, to having a world premiere in May 2021, conducted by Dr. Gerrit Scheepers and performed by the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Chorale. This piece endured a wild ride, but came out better than I could have imagined.more

Explorations of a New World
This was one of my compositions from about a year ago, which I wrote for my music theory class. When composing this piece, I had images of young people exploring rural Europe at twilight, so hopefully that imagery comes across in the music. It is written in G Dorian for solo piano.more
